Welcome to my web-page. I have been teaching at CBU for 25 years having moved here around the time I was completing my Ph.D. at the University of Waterloo. My research is a bit eclectic but I concentrate mostly in the philosophy of love and sex,  bioethics, and philosophy and literature. People interested in my research can click on my Curriculum Vitae, which has links to some of my publications.  The links to my courses are now outdated since I have moved updated versions of these to Moodle, which is more secure and now accessible only to my students. I regularly teach PHIL 2103: Philosophies of Love, Sex, and Friendship; and NURS/PHIL 3100: Legal and Ethical Issues in Nursing. More occasionally, I teach courses in Ancient Greek Philosophy, Medical Ethics, Social Justice, Ethical Theory, and 19th Century Philosophy. I have published three books: Philosophizing About Sex, co-written with Laurie Shrage from Florida International University; and two edited books with CBU Press, Talk About Sex, and Food For Thought, the later of which was done jointly with Sue Korol who teaches psychology at CBU. In the left frame, you can link to more information about these books, and how you can purchase them, if you are so inclined:)
