4 Year Option


Admission Requirements

High School Graduates: five Grade 12 advanced or academic courses including English, Mathematics, Chemistry and one other science with an overall average of at least 60%. Biology or Physics is recommended.

The four-year program is available to secondary school graduates and is composed of 40 semester courses offered during eight academic terms. Upon completion of this program, students are academically eligible to apply to take the national certification exams of the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors. An appropriate twelve-week practicum is also a requirement for certification. Compliance with CIPHI practicum criteria is a student responsibility, and does not lie with Cape Breton University.

This option cannot be completed by distance education.
