Dr. Princely Ifinedo is an Associate Professor of MIS/Mgt. Science at the Shannon School of Business, Cape Breton University (CBU), Canada. He's currently teaching Management Science and Information Systems (IS) courses, i.e., Management Information Systems (MIS), Quantitative Methods, Operations Management, and Computers in Business. He received his education in three continents; this international exposure has had a lasting impression on his view of the world. Wherever he's been, he's always displayed the same
passion and vigor for inspiring and motivating his students. He challenges them to think critically and independently. He enjoys teaching as much as he does conducting academic research. He's presented research at various international IS conferences, contributed chapters to 22 books/encyclopedias, published 42 peer-reviewed journal articles, and won 6 Best Conference/Track Paper awards. Dr. Ifinedo has authored (and co-authored) over 110 publications in reputable publishing outlets. He's received research funding from Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) of Canada [Pix].

With regard to research, he studies the interplay between IS, on the one hand, and the individual, organization, and society, on the other. To that end, his research interests relates to global IT management, cross-cultural issues in IS, IS impacts on organizations, IT use in SMEs, e-business, e-government, e-learning, IS security management issues, ERP system success measurement, and the diffusion of IS/IT in transiting and developing economies. He's been published in such journals as Information and Management, International Journal of Information Management, International Journal of Medical Informatic, Information Systems Management, Computers in Human Behavior, The DATA BASE for Advances in Information Systems, Journal
of Systems and Software, Journal of Organizational Computing and Electronic Commerce, Journal of Computer Information Systems, Journal of Global Information Technology Management, Enterprise Information Systems, Electronic Government: an International Journal, Journal of Information Technology Management, and Information Technology for Development.
He reviews for several leading international journals such as The Journal of Strategic Information Systems, Information & Management, International Journal of Electronic Business, DATA BASE, Electronic Markets, The European Journal of Operational Research, and Journal of Electronic Commerce Research. Dr. Ifinedo serves his university community in various capacities.
