Sarah
Farrow, Lab
Instructor (Communication).
Sarah received her Honours in
Communication, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Community Studies degree
from CBU in 2009. As a student Sarah was a Communication Lab Peer Facilitator and became
enthralled with the world of Communication. She started working at CBU in
2010 with the Recruitment Department, where she was a Recruitment &
Admissions Officer & High School Liaison Officer for three years. In May of
2013 Sarah joined the Communication Department once again, this time as a
lab instructor for COMM 1103 (Interpersonal) COMM 1105 (Public Speaking) &
COMM 2175 (Issues in Media Studies). On campus Sarah is an Academic Success
Coach, a member of the Student Success Committee and the Start Smart
Committee, and involved in the Student Ambassador program. Off campus she is
the Co-Chair of the Connor Timmons Memorial Soccer Tournament, a basketball
coach with Basketball Cape Breton & Whitney Pier Memorial Junior High, and
the organizer of a Senior Women’s basketball league. Along with
interpersonal, public speaking, and issues in media; Sarah’s other research
areas of interest include communication through social media, dealing with
grief through the use of social media, and gender communication.
