Physical/Theoretical Chemistry
My research interests may be characterized as two-fold. First, I am interested in the application of high-level quantum chemical methods to chemical problems of pressing concern, with the goal of not just reproducing experimentally determined numbers, but also of making accurate predictions of quantities not yet measured. The areas of application in which I am most interested involve atmospherically significant molecules and reactions. The second area of interest, which is complementary to the first, is the determination of which theoretical methods will give the optimal results for a given problem.
